Belmar enlisted singer / songwriter and producer @ELIANGEL to develop this two single EP. Together they wanted to put her talents in the forefront, producing these two tracks that would let her showcase her range. These singles serve as an introduction of her musical persona into the scene.
Together we developed a couple of music videos, creating a trippy colourful world where the singer was able to express herself freely. In them we can see ELIANGEL in a variety of scenarios. In each of them she has a fierce precescene, which is accentuated with the simple but mind-bending effects and scenarios that develop in the background.
Both cover images on the other hand, show a representation of the driving force of the tracks: her voice and the way it perfectly fits and flows into the production, creating these otherworldly images that invite the audience to dig deeper into the scenery the two artists birthed together
For @Eliangel’s release, Mi Vibe, we created a video, where she and her peers could co-exist. The entirety of the video takes place in a Windows XP desktop, we created this space as a place where all these different artists and friends could collaborate, and share a space, despite the distances. Many of the people that appear in the window, are located in different parts of latin america, still through technology and art they are able to keep on collaborating, and keep in contact with each other.
The nostalgic throwback to the early 2000’s aesthetic is a reminder of how things used to be simpler, but even though things have changed, the essence remains the same. Mi Vibe is also about being true to oneself, our digital selves allow us to present ourselves as we want to be, letting us escape our conditioned physicality and backgrounds. The video serves both as an exploration of digital authenticity and a reduction of distances inside the virtual sphere.
