techno para dos

Hardrama’s remix by @Kris Berle is a reconstruction of Techno Para Dos original from “Drama", his new studio album out now via Nadaville. The eight minute faster version of the track brings you into a techno experimental journey playing around with Roland TR 909 / 303 percussions; deconstructing the original melodies while adding nostalgic sequences and textures. This remix invites you on an introspective trip yet extroverted dance floor.

The visual takes inspiration from the idea that “Movement is the catalyst and root of all things.” It follows dancer @Corinne Spitalier, distorting her movement and aspect in relation to the music. The video is filled with glitches and melting instances of the dancer adding a new layer of movement and intention to the dancer’s presence on the video shot by @Antoine Sonnery.

The video presented an opportunity to think about movement in an essential way. How does movement relate to sound? How does movement translate to different mediums? What does the layering of movement lead up to? The video, and its glitches serves as a way to try and answer these questions. Film can never be still, it is movement itself, as is time, as is sound. The almost 9 minute video illustrates the ever moving nature of life itself.
