techno para dos

Marks the first collaboration between Techno Para Dos and Federico Torres. The video starts with a recording of the Mexico-Cuernavaca highway. As it progresses, through its digital processing, it becomes an abstract mass leaving behind its original meaning and aesthetic. This journey alludes to the reinterpretation of things by capturing them and putting them into the virtual world. Once an object crosses that threshold it cannot be the same, a road in the physical world serves to transport. On it, you move forward both in time and in three-dimensional space. A digitised road stops advancing with that logical structure and spreads in many different ways, temporally and dimensionally.

The visual addressed questions of digitalism and realism. I used the glitch elements of the song to mark the loss of identity of the objects in the digital world and at the same time their resignification and reinterpretation in the virtual space. Is a thing still that same thing after it has been digitally processed? Does it become an instance of itself? "Ceci n'est pas une pipe"...
