tr33.exe treats the digital tree as a stand-in for the natural world once it has been fully translated into data: a simulacrum built to represent an ecology it no longer needs to touch. The piece asks what survives that translation, and what doesn't. Decay staged as a technical process, entropy moving through code the way it once moved through wood.
by the end nothing remains just the frame it used tobe. Digitization doesn't preserve what it captures, it replaces it
